Makeup photos (Re: '64-'66 Specials and Skylarks)

Dear owners of photogenic mid-60s Buicks,

We had a 25% your entire purchase at CVS coupon, so Biquette got the call to stock up over there.  I had taken some photos of the tailgate end of things on Wednesday, but I misjudged the sun's angle and they didn't turn out.  So today was a "makeup day" at the Moraga barn:

Here is one more with an overall view of the building:

The Memorial day weekend is apparently also the unofficial start of classic car season.  I saw 4 other classics on a 7 mile round trip!  They were: a classic Ford Mustang, a 60s Corvette Stingray, and 2 Volkswagens of the same vintage!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Looks great Edouard!

Here's a photo of Ruthy just hangin' out in the village.

Dear Iain and owners of photogenic mid-60s Buicks,

Here's a photo of Ruthy just hangin' out in the village.

Very nice photo indeed!  :hello2:  Ruthy does look right at home with those period buildings.  So how are the eclairs at the eclair bakery?

So who is next with their photogenic Buick?

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Today's the day!  The Summer Solstice!  You can see at what time it happens for your home town on this extensive list of times:

https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20190621T1554&msg=June%20Solstice%202019

So no more excuses about snow, cold, and darkness.  It's time for everybody to get their Buicks on the road and don't forget your cameras!

It doesn't matter what is the condition of your car.  We want to see them all!!   :hello2:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Tony's Special! (Re: How about some more '64-'66 Specials and Skylarks)

Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Tony was nice enough to send me some photos of his 1965 Special and I had a moment to scan them into my computer.  Tony just sent me a PM in which he writes:

Quote
Edouard, Sure you can post the photo/photos if you want.

So without further ado  Attached to this posting are the 3 pictures!  I asked Tony about the hub caps on his Special.  He replied:

As far as the wheel covers go, the original owner must have paid extra for them OR my father may have put them on to dress it up a bit. But as far as I remember that style of wheel cover was always on the Special.

Does anybody know about the various hubcaps that were available on the 1965 Buick A-bodies?  Biquette had the very plain "dog dish" style.  Where there any other optional styles available?

Thanks Tony for sharing!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
