Like that GREEN grass! (Re: '64-'66 Specials and Skylarks)

Dear Bill and mid-60s Buick owner who appreciate placid surroundings, . . .

. . . .  we still get the cars out for some de-cobwebbing. Like to take them garage sale-ing...

Thanks Bill for sharing!  Given my predicament, I especially like the skies that aren't a beached blue and grass that is the color God intended it to be - Green!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Autumn is here! (Re: How about some more '64-'66 Specials and Skylarks)

Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers,

It can hardly be called fun, but time is flying by this year.  Today is the official start of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.  On Sunday, I noticed an interesting reflection of the sunrise in the cargo area window of my trusty wagon:

It seemed like a good way to mix the astronomical alignments with a classic Buick!

Alas for many of you,  the time is fast approaching when your will have to store your Buick for the winter.  Still there is hopefully time for a few more drives this year.  If you can, please bring along your camera or smart phone to take a picture of your Buick to share with the rest of us.    These days we all can use some cheering up and we all have a soft spot for mid-60s Buicks!  :love4:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers,

I'm sure some of your cars are already tucked away for the winter.  Other's probably only have another week or two.  Autumn came late here in California.  However, I do have one contribution before the seasons turn completely:

If anyone else can squeeze in an Autumn photo before the seasons turn, by all means do so!  Otherwise, I suppose this is an early occasion to wish everyone a safe, if somewhat somber, Thanksgiving.

Cheers, Edouard

Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick lovers,  :love4:

I saw this over on the GM Skywagon Club Facebook page.

Thanks for sharing!  I don't think I've ever seen that travel trailer before.  Sure is amazing the variety of trailers that have been produced over the years!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

It appears to be European from the tags. It looks like a simple 2 piece fiberglass shell with rubber channel set windows. Probably pretty weather tight instead of the U.S. built stuff with aluminum framed windows and side panels with lots of leak potential. Nothing worse than having to sleep in a wet bed LOL...   Bill

Dear Bill and mid-60s Buick caregivers with an itch for road-trips,

It appears to be European from the tags.

That's correct!  I had overlooked that detail!  You get the cigar!   :hello2:

All on the mark as well.  Even today there is a loyal following to the molded fiberglass travel trailers.  There is only one thing wrong with them . . . . . None of them look nearly as classy as an Airstream! . . . .  :angel4:

It needs a sport roof affixed and painted the same color as the car; form follows function, right??  Bill
