Tony,
I imagine you are asking if the chrome air cleaner had the decal on it when it was new. I don't recall if it did, or not. I would have to look at the NOS set I have.
Let me do that and get back to this post.

Yes please, because the set in the original box that Sandy Shuman gave me was dry rotted and the decal might have slipped out. When I returned to NYC I put the set into another box and that's where it stayed for the next 20 years. The Other set that I Installed on the Code Z hardtop I received as loose parts. So I have no idea if a decal was supplied.
The last piece of molding below the rear glass is going on tomorrow, so the GS exterior is almost complete. Before I leave for Ohio I will add on the hood ornament, at that point It will be 21years and about 3 months of enjoyable (& sometimes aggravating) work ! But that's what we do. The Code Z hardtop
is NEXT !!

Hi everyone, The Red GS is 90% completed. The last bit of molding was installed this morning and later this afternoon my son Mike & I gave the GS it's first wash & wax and I snapped a photo once we were done..
Tuesday (June 4th) it goes in for the wheel alignment & NYS inspection then on June 12th it's going in the upholstery shop for the headliner, carpet & whatever else it needs. I will keep you posted.

Dear Tony, Chuck, and 1965 GS caregivers,

Hi everyone, The Red GS is 90% completed.
. . .
I will keep you posted.

Congratulations Tony!  It appeared you would have quite a struggle to make the BCA convention.  I'm glad you were able to finish up ahead of schedule!

Hi everyone, Here is an update : June 4rth the GS passed NY State inspection. June 7th The front end alignment was done and the GS is officially on the road. June 12th the GS is in the upholstery shop and is still there.
The days are flying by, and the temperature is rising ! Today it was 98 degrees and very humid. Not the weather I should be driving in a GS without AC. So if we are going to get a super HOT July I may have to go to plan B and rent a trailer and transport the GS that way using my GMC truck. I will inquire about reserving a trailer from my local U-Haul over the weekend. Next Stop Strongsville OH... :hello:

Dear Tony, Chuck, Loren, Jim, and mid-60s caregivers,

Congratulation Tony!  I'm glad you have got your GS cleared for the run to Strongville!

The forecast is rather unfriendly when it comes to heat for the eastern part of the US.  Your Plan-B brought back some curious memories for me.  For a while in the 1970s, my Dad depended on the auto center of Sears Roebuck.  Our local Sears had a separate building for everything auto.  A small part of the building housed the parts and accessories and the rest of the building had service bays.  The entrance had a prominent display of an after-market air conditioning system.  I  remember wishing that Dad would upgrade Biquette with air conditioning.  Obviously, it must have not been that much of an issue back then!

Biquette didn't get air conditioning until 2013.  It was a pretty penny, but I'm most certainly glad I paid it!

Best of luck Tony on your grand adventure to Strongville!

Hi Everyone, thanks to everyone that's been following my restoration of the Red GS thin pillar coupe, The journey started on May 17th 2003 when I loaded the GS on a U-Haul trailer in Beach Haven PA,
The GS would have been completed today July 6th 2024. Only 4 days before it was again loaded on a U-Haul trailer and transported to the BCA National meet in Ohio. But yesterday I was on my way to the muffler shop I use on Long Island, when I started getting a bad vibration. I quickly moved over to the right lane to pull off to the shoulder safely, when I heard a loud bang and the GS spun around and hit the guide rail. It happened so quickly I was stunned but not hurt, I got out and the left rear wheel was missing. Then I saw the damage, the left quarter and half of the trunk was smashed. I was OK and there was no one else involved, so that was a good thing...
NYPD & EMS arrived to help with the traffic tie up, 2 hours later the flatbed service arrived. And as crazy as it was, there was my friend Howard a BCA/ROA member driving on the parkway and spotted the wrecked GS & me on the side of the parkway and pulled over to help and gave me a ride home.
The GS is now home in my garage. The sheet metal damage is extensive and the rear frame section is bent too.
I contacted my collector car Insurance this morning and the Adjuster will be calling me back. I cannot repair this type of damage, so this should be a total loss and the end.... :sad1:
This is not stopping me from attending the BCA National Meet, I will be in the Flea Market area selling parts, stop by and say hello  :hello:
