New to the forum
« on: January 06, 2021, 01:13:48 PM »
Hi everybody ! New to this forum, didn't know that a 65 GS forum existed. I'm from southern NYS. I owned Buick's all my life and still have a 1965 numbers matching GS convertible. I had to store mine since 2009 due to job location. I recently retired from federal service and started to work on getting the GS back on the road. Changed the fuel tank, brake cylinders and shoes, all new vacuum lines etc. I attached a picture of my GS. Tell me what you guys have to say about this old Buick! ....... Len

p.s.
At 75 yrs. old it's not as easy as it once was I'm learning........

It looks amazing for not having seen the open air for 11 years. Very nice. As others are saying, tell us more about it and share more pictures if you can.

Welcome to the forum, Len. I love the color of your 65 GS. It reminds me of my first 65 GS. Your personalized license plate is a nice touch. We look forward to talking you on this forum.

Len, glad to have you on board. Great looking car. In your retirement make sure you keep a calendar handy to remember what day of the week it is. This is coming from a 76 year old Buick Guy.

Dear Len, Loren, Jim, 65GSConv, Jim, Marty, Kevin, Don, Glenn, Chuck, and 65GS.com welcoming committee!

What else can I do but join the chorus welcoming you Len to 65GS.com!

. . . . .
At 75 yrs. old it's not as easy as it once was I'm learning........

Indeed everything seems to get harder with age.  Worse still some of it is due to "improving technology."  . . . Aren't you glad at how much easier our lives have become thanks to computers and stuff? . . .  :BangHead:  As you get more up to speed, something that we might be able to help you with is decoding your car's builder's plates.  However, the easiest way to do that is to take pictures of the plates first.  If and when the time comes, let us know and we can hopefully give you reasonable instructions on how to do that.

Once more welcome!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
