Down here in SoCal, we're having the same issue with smoke. Over the weekend, was 115+ degrees, with yellow sun and raining ash from the Bobcat Fire, which is just a few miles north of where I live. Today (Tuesday), it's cloudy and mid 70's. But now the winds are forecasted to pick up, and if it goes the way the forecasters are projecting, it will drive the fire south, directly into the foothill communities along the north part of Los Angeles. We've been notified that we "could" get an evacuation order if the winds do pick up. We're on the very eastern edge of that zone, and I believe that if the worst happens, it will be to the west of me. But having said that, I'm making sure we're ready to skip out quick. Also made sure the gennie has plenty of gasoline, in case we lose power overnight.
Really feeling for those folks up in the Sierra National Forest that lost their homes in the Creek Fire, some really incredible rescues going on up there. Praying for them, and for all that are being impacted by these weird weather phenomena we're having....
My son is at college in Colorado Springs. Yesterday, was 85 degrees. Today it's snowing.
