Dear Iain, Jim, and mid-60s Buick lovers . . . .  :love4:

Ruthy in the hills

. . . There is just one thing wrong with that picture - it is all by itself! . . . . You've just gotta take more of them!!  :blob7:

Yep, I'm sufferin' for a serious case of classic car pic withdrawal! . . .  :BangHead:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Not the best background here.

But nice after an early spring cleaning.

Dear Iain, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick owners who like things "spic and span!"  :sunny:

But nice after an early spring cleaning.

Yes indeed Ruthy looks great!  :hello2:

Not the best background here.

Alas no, Ruthy is reminding us why some cars are really classic while others are . . . . . . . . . well, not exactly! . . . .  :laughing7:

Hope Ruthy is dry as the Pineapple Express hits! (Re: Hi all!)

Dear Iain and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Bringing Ruthy the Skylark home was one of the best choices I ever made.

Here in the San Francisco Bay area, we are on the northern fringes of the current atmospheric river event.  Santa Barbara is essentially straight in the cross-hairs.  Given the previous landslide disaster, I couldn't help but hope that Ruthy is safe and sound even with all the rain.  Ronnie and a few other Buick brothers are also down in the southland.  I do hope everybody is safe in this very unusual deluge for California.

Cheers, Edouard

Yes, she is for sure safe. I live a few miles from the foothills, and in this area they are rocky. They don't look to have slid, ever really.

When I first moved to this area, people would tell me that it doesn't rain often, but when it does....

and that's the Pineapple Express. Sub-tropical moisture. I am nervous for those living 100 miles south of me, but at the same time grateful for this rain. Up until now, we have been as dry as the desert. After last year's deluge, still remaining in stage 4 drought.

And last year, I had her stored outside at a facility. She filled up with an inch of water. Not this year, no, she's dry and happy in the garage.

For all da' wet, we are headed for another drought. . (Re: Hi all!)

Dear Iain and California Buick owners who know "when it rains it pours!"

When I first moved to this area, people would tell me that it doesn't rain often, but when it does....

and that's the Pineapple Express. Sub-tropical moisture.

Yup, my trusty wagon had to slug through those Pineapple Express rains even before the researchers gave them a new name - Atmospheric Rivers!

I am nervous for those living 100 miles south of me, but at the same time grateful for this rain. Up until now, we have been as dry as the desert. After last year's deluge, still remaining in stage 4 drought.

*Sigh* ditto on that as well.  We aren't as bad off in the north, but it is expected that we will be back in a drought condition by the end of spring.  We are running about 1/2 of normal rainfall up here.

And last year, I had her stored outside at a facility. She filled up with an inch of water. Not this year, no, she's dry and happy in the garage.

Well, Biquette isn't happy without an engine, but she also is dry in the garage.  Our 2000 Buick Century is her stable-mate but isn't so lucky and will have to brave at least some of the wet this week.

Be safe!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Hi Jerry, hi Psalm 65.

Partial to white too. Had to think about it.  I like white on all cars really.
Why? I think because it sets off body lines well that are easy to see. And a good contrast the environment. But I like lots of other colors too.

And Psalm, a BIG motor there. That will be awesome.
