Dear mid-60s Buick owners in search of a handy spot to store their cars,
Even in the 21st century, people are managing to come up with new ways to provide temporary to semi-permanent storage for cars. A company called CarCapulse as an inflatable storage system that works like covers of swimming pools or the inflatable decorations for Halloween and Christmas:
http://carcapsule.com/This system relies on a blower constantly pushing air into the inflatable space. That should reduce the risk of moisture building up. It certainly looks like a viable solution in milder climates.
CarCover Concepts avoiding having the fabric cover resting directly on the vehicle by providing a framework that supports the fabric:
https://covercarconcepts.com/The company is based in Phoenix and perhaps is best suited for even milder climates then the CarCapsule system. Still both concepts should be a vast improvement over conventional car covers or car ports and certainly can be used storage during the milder 3-seasons in most of the country.
At least I wasn't aware of these things!
Cheers, Edouard
