If you have a set of original locks, regardless of what key fits them, they can easily be re-pined to where they all use the same key. I have done this many times before myself--collected up the various lock cylinders from different cars, then re-keyed them all to match a common set of keys. After watching a lock smith do it for some of my 80s Ford truck locks, I realized that it is pretty simple and I started doing it myself. Once I took apart enough locks, I had a complete assortment of all the pins for the Ford locks and can now re-key one in a few minutes.
