Trunk Lock
« on: September 03, 2009, 10:02:24 PM »
I have two spare deck lids and from what three, yes 3 locksmiths have told me the lock cylinders that came out of my deck lids are not 65 locks.I guess the GM change over to the newer style key was somewhere around 66.When i bought the 4-speed car it didn't have any keys.I took the door lock out and had the locksmith make a key to fit it and it worked in the ignition like came with the car.I also gave him the glove box lock and he cut me a key for it and it also works great but thats as far as it goes. The key from the glove box won't even start in the deck lid locks this is why it has to be from a 65.    Thanks, Tom

Thanks for the offer Jon but I'm looking for an original lock cylinder from a 65 so i can have it keyed the same as the glove box.
