Caught in some springtime drizzle. (Re: Da' trusty billy-goat wagon!)

Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers who have to cope with that occasional spring shower,

The air conditioner in my trusty wagon has been on the fritz for some time now.  I finally got her over to Orinda Classic Car Center to have that fixed and recharged.  While she was there I had a few other "small" things I hope they could take care of for me.  One of which was a chronic cold-start problem.  I keep suspecting that the EFI fuel pump in the gas tank since the fuel sending unit never recovered from sitting around while TA-Performance fixed Biquette's engine.  However, the latest suspect is instead the intake manifold pressure sensor.  We shall see!

We had a surprise period of drizzle this morning and Biquette got caught outside while the shop was shuffling vehicles.  Of course not a good thing to do to a classic car, but it did make for a pretty picture:

At least the last wax job is holding up nicely!

Hi Edouard, As always Biqette looks great ! Even when wet.. And no matter how well we keep our Buicks, there always seems to be something to do to get it just right. Even if it's just a coat of wax. Here in NYC the weather was lousy up until today. We finally had the first Spring day today, and I took advantage of every moment that I could. I was out in the Garage by 9am.  Other than the 45 minute lunch break I was out there working until 7pm. Sure felt good cutting, welding & painting again.  :sunny:  My Gran Sports will be out on the road again as of this weekend. Hopefully no rain !!

       Tony

Dear Tony and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Hi Edouard, As always Biqette looks great . . . .

Thanks Tony!

Here in NYC the weather was lousy up until today. We finally had the first Spring day today, and I took advantage of every moment that I could. I was out in the Garage by 9am.  Other than the 45 minute lunch break I was out there working until 7pm. I'm glad that you got some "quality time" with your Gran Sports!  Indeed, I hope the weather cooperates this weekend!

Took Mom out to dinner. (Re: Da' trusty billy-goat wagon!)

Dear caregivers of 60 year old Buicks,

Yesterday was a good day to take out my trusty wagon.  In the morning I took her to a doctor's appointment at a complex with plenty of parking - so no risk of dings.  In the evening I took my Mom to dinner.  While I was there I took this photo with the setting sun and marine layer serving as backlighting:

Biquette got the usual compliments at both places, but a group of fellow dinners were especially pleased to see Biquette. It was a chance for me to give Mom credit for having bought Biquette all the way back in 1968.   Classic car ownership doesn't get much better than this!   :hello2:
