Absolutely beautiful!  It's no wonder that red is the most popular color for the '65 GS.  The redline tires look great.

It is not the original Flame Red but 2009 Chevy Torch Red, base coat clear coat. I wanted something a little brighter.

I went to the "Spring Extravaganza" put on by the local BCA chapter this morning. I actually found 65 Skylark and 65 GS parts at the swap meet!!!

There was a pretty clean 64 Skylark convert project on a trailer, but it had a 65 nose. The grille had a GS emblem. We wandered over to look at some of the other stuff he had, and there was a pair of 65 GS fenders, GS doors, and a really clean, straight front bumper. Also picked up a pair of rocker mouldings. The fenders are already in the scrap bin due to major rust and bondo issues, but I cut out the entire sections with the ventiports, and have the GS ventiports as well. The right rocker moulding was junk, but the left is straight. It just needs a lot of TLC to clean up. I passed on the doors - too rusty. The bumper just has some bumper jack dents in the bottom. It still has all the brackets and park lights. A great core to rechrome.

I haven't scored any Skylark parts at local in swap in quite a while.

I'm around.
A new project got given to me....
I call it an instant garage, but most people would call it a trailer box off of a tractor-trailer. It's 30 feet long. 8 ft wide, 8ft high.
If the township asks....it's a garden shed. ;D

It needs a new 'garage' door, and a paint job. For now I'll use it to store yard equipment and all that big stuff cluttering up my garage.
