Joe, nope - Brian Stone - he of "65 GS chassis kit" fame. I was able to pick up some VHTF California emissions pieces and other odds-n-ends from that car.

John and Loren,

Thanks for gas tank install the tips. I have the tank on the floor jack. I need to get th back of the car higher. I can't sneak the neck up into the frame/bumper area and clear the straps. The Patton Glade tank pad slides around too, not helping matters. I finally secured it with a couple of small pieces of carpet tape.
John, I'd love to come to KC and help out some time. I can probably get away for a weekend this summer and then visit Loren too.

Loren and Mark,

You're always welcome to visit and maybe turn a wrench.  You bring the beer and I'll bring the BQ ribs. How about timing it when the engine gets installed? Can always use an extra hand with that.

Loren,

The engine will need to be rebuilt first.  Money is tight right now.  I'd like to get that done this summer.  However, you can always stop here for a visit on you way out to North Carolina to pick up your GS parts.

Hey Doc, Yards is in eastern Pa, just north of Philly. I'm about 30 min north of him.
His Buick picnic draws 20-30 cars. Always a good time!

Loren,

I know. I went to the GSTA show yesterday. Jim Hudsons 65 GS convert was in the show for the second time. It was painted a different color this time around. Most of the trim is cleaned off, and the tailights are painted body color. It also has a 455. Nicely done car, just not really my cup of tea.

Heading to the "new car" auto show now. The first swap is only 4 weeks away.
Getting motivated to work on the GS has been hard lately, but spring will help!

Is that the " GS " that came from WI ?
At one time he was buying up anything he could find.

How's the job going? Never heard anythingabout it. Did Milissa find something yet?

Our son starts his new job tomorrow. Hope it goes well for him.

I've been down to the shop a couple of times now and I have my "to do list" ready.

Won't be long and I'll have the convertible out and enjoying the spring time weather.
