Title: Isn't it great that the Tesla model-X has power windows? . . . . .
Post by: elagache on June 27, 2016, 09:23:50 PM
Dear mid-60s Buick fans on internal combustion engines and automobile air conditioning,

One of the indignities my trusty wagon must endure is that the region has a lot of Tesla fanatics.  So when Tesla model-X SUV were finally delivered to customers they started to show up on our roads.  Definitely nothing a self-respecting station wagon wants do deal with.

We are having a nasty heat wave for northern California.  We had a high of 98? which is only 4 degrees short of the previous record set last September.  This evening we were headed for a causal dinner when I spotted one of those recently purchased Tesla model-X vehicles.  All the windows open were 1/2 way when the air temperature was still 95?.

The only two plausible explanations are either:

1.) The air conditioner was broken, or . . . .

2.) The owner was so low on the battery that he/she wasn't willing to run the air conditioner and risk being left stranded on such a hot day.

Either way, if you happen to own any Tesla stock . . . .  need I say more!  :laughing7:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Probably another "jump on the bandwagon" car like the Chevy Volt or the Toyota Prius. The problem is that the same people that do the math on how much money these cars can save you....also make a lot more important decisions. I sold a Geo metro last year that got me 52 mpg,and I definitely did not feel any dumber than a guy driving a $32,000 Prius on the e-way. You do realize that there were 250,000 deposits on these Teslas before they were made. One of the more obvious separations of public vs. private funds....don't get me started....lol. Better keep the bandwagon you've got.

Dear Dan and mid-60s Buick fans of mid-60s Buicks

Hey, chill out dude! . . .  :glasses9:

Do you have to drive your Buick with the air conditioner turned off just to get home?  I sure hope lots more of these guys jump on the bandwagon.  I'll be happy to have them roasting in 90+ degree heat while I drive my comfortable 1965 Buick with air conditioning! . . .  :icon_thumright:
