Radiator is bad

Had the radiator checked out (65 GS) and it seems that it is full of pin holes. Shop says they can't find one but could repair this one for $426. Found this web page but looking for some guidance and/or other options to consider.

Dwaine,
I had mine recored. I think it was about $350. They can order right size core, solder your tanks on, and you should be good to go.

The US Radiator at least looks correct.... it has the inlet/outlet in the correct position. Only 65-66 had that config. So many companies get this detail wrong.
Note this one is for AC-equipped cars.... it has the curved upper inlet. Non-AC had a straight inlet.
If you're on a budget, a universal radiator from Griffen is about $200. I doesn't have a built-in tranny cooler.

Had mine recored also. AC cars have a 4 core and others have 3. My 4 core cost about $400. If the tanks are good the cost is about the same to repair or replace - unless you go with the generic option.

Thanks all for the feedback. Thought the recore quote might be high not having any experience with it but seems like maybe its not. I'll stew on it awhile but will probably recore the original.
