windshield molding clips screw in Please!!
« on: May 10, 2011, 07:55:27 PM »
Hi all,

in search of new screw in type windshield molding clips that fit the factory holes

I got some off of OPGI and looked at Year one and both show the stud mounted type and have screws although they are half the size of the factory holes in my dash

any source would be great or anyone have about 10 used ones to spare as I have the windshield guy scheduled on Friday

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

I got my clips from Ground Up. The sets for 64-65 a body have the right type for studded and screw in.

Mark,

thanks for the info but those are identical to the ones I have that use a stud they show 4 or 5 that look like the style I have

I found some on EBay hoping they get here before Friday or will have to reschedule

You know if I would have know that they were differend I would have welded my holes shut when I did the repair to the channel but oh well I guess I will remember on the next project

thanks

Jim,

I have the clip pack sitting right here. Both styles are included in the pack, along with the screws.
It is good to go.

Mark,

On mine the clips are all the same size as I have seen the packs with 4 or 5 bigger type and then the rest are the stud mount

when the ones I ordered come in I will see if they work or correct and post the part number and pic if I can get them downloaded

thanks again
