65 GS wanted
« on: October 22, 2008, 09:53:15 AM »
Looking for an above average 65 GS, preferably standard shift. Do not want to deal with serious rust or a car that needs a body off resto. Would consider a skylark.  Contact Dick @ 315-697-3328

The search is over. Thanks for the tips. Talked with some owners and drove the green GS in Syracuse (nice car, call if anyone needs info on it). Chose the silver GS in Oregon. Had a tough time finding a 4 speed car with air. Original spare has never been out of the trunk. Will eventually have two 65's for sale. A rust free skylark hardtop from California and a rusty GS from New York w/air. May part out the GS. Will post later this spring. Can't wait for good weather.

Any preferences as to price range, location, or color?
There have been some very nice 65's on eBay lately in the $15-20k range: a burgundy mist automatic in Calif for $17k, and a red 4 speed car in New York City for $20k.
There was a green 4 speed car in central NY some time ago in the $12k range.
At the lower end of the price scale, a solid 4 speed car that needed a total resto sold recently for $6k.

Walt that car is a deal. I remember it being around 19K a few months ago. I think it's a bargain.

Hello Dick,   I see you may be looking for a Skylark, I have a beauty for sale.  It needs nothing.  300 V8, 4 barrel carb, black bucket seat interior, auto on the column, Cragar SS mags.  Chrome is near perfect.  No rust at all!  Solid car. Fly in,...drive 'er home!   Asking $13,700.00.   with the set of beautiful Buick mags and new center caps I have.  $13,500.00 without the Buick mags and center caps.  Call me days at 888-743-3207 ext 238 or email me at:  ruddracing28@hotmail.com
