Tail light wiring harness
« on: February 26, 2025, 12:22:29 PM »
I am moving forward with my 1965 Bucamino project. I am fitting Buick quarter panels and taillights to a 1965 El Camino body shell. The body is going to be scrapped when I am done, then the Buick sheet metal will be installed on a much better Elky body. The challenge I am facing is what taillight harness to use, or how to create one that works. This challenge is created by the ribbon cable on a wagon comes down the right side of the body and on an Elky on the left. Can I just flip a Buick harness over and plug it in on the left side or do I modify an Elky harness. What I need is a complete 1964 or 1965 wagon taillight harness, with backup lights, to see if it will work. I am looking for either a complete non useable harness, or NOS to nice OEM. If you have a harness that you will part with, please let me know.

^^x3^^

Don't have a harness for you,
But can offer cheerleading and emotional support!  :cheers2:

Seems that maybe the right kind of wiring connectors or splice might just work if you run into all dead ends with the OG harness?

This is one of the coolest projects ever.
Gotta be sure and update your build thread.
