Hi Loren, Yes that article is ever so true. Yes, I'm the city kid. My parents worked hard and were able to buy a second house in the country, two hours east of NYC. Within walking distance of potato & corn fields and a fresh water lake full of Bass. On the weekends you could hear racecars shifting gears at the local racetrack. As a 14 year old this was paradise, good clean fun. For us it was easy to leave the craziness of the city behind and slip into the country lifestyle for a weekend or months at a time. Rabbits, Deer, Chipmunks, Ducks and an occasional Box Turtle were part of the everyday lifestyle. We learned to slow down and fit in, instead of causing problems..
Although our family does not own the house in the country any more. The 42 years of ownership made me appreciate the country lifestyle, and there is more to life than skyscrapers, mass transit & 10 million people and constant traffic.....
Tony
