Drivers side lower door hinge
« on: October 08, 2023, 05:33:30 PM »
Hi Buick Fans,
I was cleaning up my door hinges and realised my driver's side bottom hinge with the spring is broken. looks like its sheared off a roller and the spring is long gone.
Would anyone out there have one they want to package and send over?
Thanks Marcus

Thanks Chuck,
I keep getting promised my car will be painted by Christmas, so I'm working on all the small parts I can in preparation.

It's a nice little reminder every now and then that I'm working on something I cannot salvage parts off a wreck in this country.

Thanks Again
Marcus

Dear Marcus, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

I was cleaning up my door hinges and realised my driver's side bottom hinge with the spring is broken. looks like its sheared off a roller and the spring is long gone.
. . . .

Hopefully Chuck can come through for you.  However if all else fails, that hinge is reproduced.  My trusty wagon has the hinge from Original Parts Group:

Unfortunately it is a bit expensive.

Cheers, Edouard

At $59.95 I consider that in-expensive for what you get.

Dear Tom and mid-60s Buick caregivers who prefer not too need too much care,

At $59.95 I consider that in-expensive for what you get.

I certainly agree it was worth it in the case of my trusty wagon.  I believe the driver's side hinge broke only a few years after we bought the car.  It might have been broken by the previous owner, I was too young to remember.  For decades I've been afraid the driver's side door would come slamming back on someone and hurt them.  I had the hinge replaced 13 years ago and continue to be glad I did!

Cheers, Edouard

Sorry Marcus. I don't have any hinges left. Good luck with your search!
