SPRINGS
« on: December 03, 2022, 01:11:09 PM »
Anybody here with an image of their car with new springs and source?
As much as I love the low stance of my original springs, the front tires are rubbing with my 15" TTO rims.  I had the same problem when I did my 65 Special wagon, bought GS springs and it never had an issue again with rubbing but it looked 1" too high in front.
Thanks

Espo springs is probably your best bet and they can come up with a ride height higher than stock say an inch or two depending on tire size! Got to get up some pictures some how!?

This past summer I needed springs for my 65 GS hardtop, I took the advice of the members of this site and I called Laura at ESPO. A quick & easy way to get exactly the spring for your GS. I ordered a full set, so far only the fronts are in and the front ride height is just what I needed.

Can anyone post the specs for the springs they bought from ESPO? I'm a numbers guy and enjoy the math!

Hi Walt I don't remember exactly what Ride height I ordered But I have my Invoice. Item # C-CS-656 (Should be front) @ $160.00 # C-CS-5235 ( Should be rear) @ $125.00 . Give Laura a call and she will give you the height specifications. Like I said in the last post I'm very happy with the front Height. I'm waiting on boxed rear lower control arms from OPGI so I can reassemble the rear suspension.

Thanks Tony! I'm more interested in specs such as rate, wire diameter, and load rating.
I put GTO springs in my blue '66 years ago, they're on the weak side, allowing the headers to bottom out.
65 GS and 66 GS have different specs, and wondering how the ESPO springs compare. I suppose Laura could provide that info.
