alternator brackets, dip stick, and plug wire seperator needed

I am looking for all three alternator brackets for my GS including the slotted upper bracket, cast aluminium bracket and and lower triangular bracket.  Mark Ascher was kind enough to send me photos of these parts and it is clear i am missing all three.

Also looking for a dip stick and tube.

Also looking for a spark plug wire separator.  I have one but any information on where to locate a second one would be appreciated.  I am only presuming that the car came with two spark plug wire separators (if that is what they are called) as my engine came completely disassembled.

I am also having trouble finding a correct size fuel filter. I have my old one but so far the so called "correct parts" we have ordered don't match.

The AC number is GF-94, but it seems the right one is getting hard to find.
Also, you don't need a dipstick tube - the stick just goes into the hole in the block.
I've seen the sticks on ebay occasionally too.

Wow Mark I can't believe your help.  Especially with the brackets.  I simply forgot to search " nailhead" for the brackets and instated looked under gs in ebay.  Now all I have to do is find the stick if i am successful on the brackets.

Rob, you will also need the longer head bolts for the aluminum alternator bracket. Very important! They usually have a smaller head (wrench) size to differentiate them from the other bolts.

Mr. Stone says you can make a GS dipstick if you can find one from a big car.
It needs to be shortened and re-marked. That will work until you can come across a real one.

See if you have the bolts Walt mentions in your spare parts. You can see what they look like in the pics I sent you.

CARS has the plastic separators. I just bought one and it looks good, but if I remember correctly it is not a exact duplicate of the original. It is under electrical on the CARS website:

If you need the metal parts the separators sit on I think they have them for aluminum covers, but not certain for steel. It looked like they have chrome, but their site wasn't clear on the issue.

I may have a big car dipstick in my box of nailhead parts--I will look tonight.  Easiest way to do it is to cut a calibrated amount out of the middle of the dipstick, then weld it the two halves back together.  No re-marking required when you do that.  They are about 1/6" thick material, so welding is no problem with a mig.  If I have one, I will make one up for you and and sell it to you cheap.  I can use the one from my car to go by for the length.

  I found a nailhead big-car dipstick in my stash, and I had it backwards.  The GS stick is longer.  If you can find a 2nd big-car dipstick, I can make the two into one that is the correct length for a GS.

Brian, another way to make the dipstick shorter/longer is to merely move the rubber plug/steel retainer up or down. It's held in placed by displaced metal.... just grind a bit off of those tabs, move the plug/retainer into position, then stake above it and below it to keep it in place.

I was able to win the alternator brackets on ebay.  If anyone else ever needs a new dipstick, CARS actually had a few (claimed to be NOS) in stock.  Not cheap but in stock.  Thanks to everyone for your help.  Rob K.
