Any chance of this becoming a reality ?

Hey all,  I was sitting here brain storming and this idea entered my ( 3/4 disoriented) mind . 
What ( IF ) the 65GS site had its OWN 65GS designated drag car owned , operated, sponsored by , maintained by a bunch of us AND driven by one of our  members .
Probably sounds pretty crazy but I for one am going to end up with A LOT of extra parts by the time i get my two cars done . I would only want to do this at NO cost to the our site or its members so in other words everything would be donated for the specific purpose of having fun and promoting the 65GS forum . Theres a lot of details that would have to be worked out but I'm just curious if this is a possibility or if this is a result of eating way to much food over thanksgiving and laying on the couch .
Theres many ways this could work and the possibilities are endless, so that said what's some thoughts or ideas anyone has ?

Probably hard to do with todays costs, but nothing is impossible. Back in the day a few guys with good jobs could field a Top Fuel car. Not today.

Guess I wasn't thinking we'd run it for points or try to run for some sort of championship deal .  I was thinking more along the lines of just a handful of shows and some of the bigger car shows and entering it in the modified class .
I agree it takes way to much time, money and effort to race it a full season .
I see a quite few guys go to Bowling green and some even race there cars down there on ocasion, that would be an awesome place to show/run the car .
I'm probably close to having enough spare parts to put another rolling chassis together .
