Lever Colors
« on: October 15, 2021, 06:18:29 AM »
Question on original colors of the plastic knobs on the ends of the turn signal and tilt wheel levers...do they always match the color of the dash, steering wheel and steering mast?  In my case, should the knobs be gray to match the gray interior?  Anyone with or had an original 65 Skylark with white interior upholstery that can confirm?

Thanks,

Chuck

Yes, they should be color keyed, the white interior is unique as gray non dominate accent color is used on the dash ,dash pad, carpet, column, package shelf! The color and trim book states this and also helps document also! When I first got my white over red with white interior hardtop many people tried to tell me that my carpet should be black! My answer was not according to the trim book and why is the carpet on the kick panels and door panels gray!? Another factory design is that red and saddle hardtop and posts have white headliners!? And some black interior cars have star headliners not tier grain!

Thanks guys.  That was definitely my expectation, but it's great to have it confirmed!

A blessed weekend to all!

Another page of interest is page 28A the gran sport supplement page! Which shows belt reveal/wheel well trim, bucket seats with colors, vinyl top colors, transmission choices with shifters, consolette with provision for tach meaning that it was a option in addition too, storage console for stick cars, formula V road wheels and wire hub caps
