65 Skylark Old School Project
« on: April 27, 2021, 11:33:30 AM »
Hello All

Randy here, I have been working on my 65 Post and added some parts and done some work to my car. I have owned for a long time.
The project would not be this close to completion without the help of Jon and numerous others. I bought this car site unseen for $600 about 23 years ago and Jon furnished a 300 4 barrel with automatic trans for it,  I also restored the interior and painted the car.

A few years back, I decided it could use some under-hood updates......... well that got a little out of hand.

It is a body-on project (but has been sanded and stripped and painted underneath) and is out of the paint shop repainted using Royal Blue Metallic Base coat/Clear coat PPG

The car is pretty solid, a Fremont car and I intend to keep and drive it (my 65 convertible will be the first to go).

I will try to keep the progress posted during re-assembly

Hello Fellow Buick  fans.

Well I have the exterior about done and a picture is attached.  I have a hard pedal condition with the disk brake conversion that is now getting some attention. I might need to go to a smaller piston master cylinder, but tests are in-progress.  The Trunk needs to be painted (grey/white) and the Interior will need some work.  I installed the taillights Right side electrical problems and no parking lights front or rear, so out will come the voltmeter and test light. If anyone wants an explanation/follow up of the electrical trouble shooting, let me know and I can provide my actions with the electrical repair.

Thanks for watching, Randy
