A new Gran Sport / GS forum site. CHECK IT OUT!
« on: September 30, 2020, 10:55:15 AM »
Hello All,
                                                CHECK IT OUT !
With the direction of my web master, a new forum site has been created in the AACA forums. It is intended to cover all the Gran Sport and GS cars , no matter the year or model.

  https://forums.aaca.org/forum/191-buick-gran-sport-gs/

Thanks for taking a look John.
I hope it will bring a broader spectrum of Gran Sport owners together. 65GS.com, in name alone, seems to limit the people that participate.

Wiil this forum continue to exist or will it be absorbed by AACA?

  Good question.
This forum does not belong to the AACA. 65GS.com, belongs to the members here and I intend to keep this forum going as long as I am able. It is through the contributions of members that make it possible to pay the expenses of Domain name, Hosting and maintenance costs.
Since our name is 65GS.com, it appears to limit the number of people involved here.  I thought it might be interesting to have a forum that tries to cover all the models and years of Buick Gran Sport and GS. Since it didn't have any financial cost to me for the new forum, I thought it wouldn't hurt to see what may come out of a new forum.

I hope my explanation makes sense,

Hi Loren, I was just reading your posts on the new forum over on the AACA site. It's a great idea, and I commend you for your forward thinking. If our members want to share their knowledge of the 64-66 A body Buicks with other A body/Riv GS owners of other years that's great ! Sharing knowledge is what this whole Buick thing is all about. Our site is a big "Think Tank" of information that should be shared with other Buick enthusiasts.
Our site, 65GS.com is our home and should be kept if our members are willing to all chip in and support the site and all the time and effort that you put into it. Many of our members may not realize that back in 1999 Steve Shuman's wife handed me a small box of index cards with some 65 GS owners names on it. And with the help of two other Directors and You, we have increased our membership beyond expectations and now have this web site. And with your guidance became part of the BCA.
Steve Shuman would be proud of all of us... Let's keep on sharing and growing.  Thank You Loren.  :cheers2:

Dear mid-60s Buick owners who get d'em wintertime classic car blues,

If you need a little incentive to monitor the Buick Club of America postings on the AACA forum, there are a number of Buick related picture threads which are getting regular contributions.  Not surprisingly, I'm attracted to the "Buicks and the Great Outdoors" thread.  Yesterday, there was this posting for a travel trailer and boat combo that is kind of slick:

https://forums.aaca.org/topic/296840-buicks-and-the-great-outdoors-camping-and-trailering/?do=findComment&comment=2132615

These days, we really need these little pick-me-ups!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
