Not mine. Won't comment on the asking price. But it sure looks like a solid car for someone. Is it anyone's in this forum?

It's interesting that the seller wouldn't even go to the trouble to understand the difference between the "Grand" Sport verses the Skylark for the description.   And the air cleaner.....

True, but I will give them credit for actually showing the numbers on the block, cowl tag, and VIN plate. Too many ads neglect these important informational items.

Yeah, there are many incorrect items.  Red line tires.  Color was midnight aqua with black interior originally.  Incorrect side view mirrors.  Canvas top.  Steering wheel.  Woofers in the kick-panels.  Front disc brakes (but for driving, that's a big plus).  Looks to have windshield washer option, but can't see the washer fluid container anywhere.  Not sure what that shiny object is over both door armrests.  White interior looks like a darker color than the white exterior (is that a correct color interior?).  Not sure all the dash colors are correct for a white interior.  Clock doesn't run.  Oil on understand of tranny.  The bell housing on the bottom is missing something to cover the flywheel.

But the underside looks very nice. Stainless exhaust is great.  Differential looks to be a posi (at least has the tag on it).  Consolette w/tach is nice.

I have to say they posted real pictures and did not try to paint a prettier picture. The patches in the frame and pits everywhere show an older restoration that was likely done a long time ago. The seller obviously knows very little about these cars, but still took a good shot at putting it out there. Four door arm rests are what you are seeing as chrome, and there are a lot of positives about the car....but I think it is a good example of why many of us have restored our own. If you factor in the selling price and what you would actually have into making it a collector car,you may as well start out with a project. I doubt the guy with the die grinder knew he was ruining a very rare piece back in the day.

Frame is fish plated up!, Vin is held on by screws!, motor is 66 mt 401! Not correct color combo versus trim
Plate, chunk out of bell housing and missing inspection cover all for over $40 grand!!! The trim tag has correct info of 4speed with consolette and the 4S on it though!

You may have 40K into doing the tail lights if you keep sending them back like I did.....I finally bought a used set from California. I was referring to the bell housing when I mentioned the die grinder earlier, but what seemed really rare was the amp gauge they describe in the console.

Check out the homepage for the ad!..... the Classic Auto Mall is an old shopping mall reconfigured into a classic car showroom/museum. I haven't yet visited, but it's near me in SE Pa.

And that poor vert needs some serious TLC to bring it up to our standards. Way overpriced as is.

I see it has the star on the cowl tag. Did we ever figure out what that meant? This car sure sags in the rear.
