Dear Loren, Jon. and mid-60s Buick caregivers with an itch for road trips,

The BCA National Meet for 2021 has has been modified with some first ever changes. The Meet will take place on two consecutive weekends. Part one will be in Charlotte (Concord) North Carolina as had been previously announced. The dates  will be changed to June 30 through July 3. The host hotel will remain the same . Part two will be held in Strongsville Ohio on July 7 through July 10.

There is a distance of over 500 miles between the two locations.  If this link works, it would be Google maps proposed driving instructions:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Strongsville,+OH/Charlotte,+NC/@38.2495365,-84.1160844,7z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x8830ea691aebe833:0xda9641dad6ef8f81!2m2!1d-81.83569!2d41.3144966!1m5!1m1!1s0x88541fc4fc381a81:0x884650e6bf43d164!2m2!1d-80.8431267!2d35.2270869!3e0

Obviously, it is an attempt to appease the 2020 host city.  However, perhaps that's trying too hard.  500 miles is a long distance for the more fragile classics, so not that many will attend both.  On the other hand, the two venues are so close to one another than it won't tap into many new potential participants.

We'll just have to see how this one plays out!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
