Strong Money For A Clone
« on: January 08, 2010, 10:02:40 PM »
Over $10k and a day to go.....

Pretty strong money for this car if you ask me...

I don't mean to offend anyone, but as a "Clone" this is pretty far away from being close to a real GS.

I wonder if it's real money behind this car or someone is running the bid up?

Darn good money for a clone.  Like I said somewhere else when this car came up though.  Put a four speed back in it, get rid of the 67 scoops, and you have a very cool 65 convertible.
You couldn't build it for that, if it's as decent as it looks.

I've seen two other vert clones in that price range. One was on V8Buick briefly. I think he sold it. It was a very nice dark blue 'lark body on a real GS 4 speed chassis. I was lusting for that one!
The other was a light blue 'lark vert with a nailhead 4 speed. Looked great in the auction. Went to look at it with a buddy, and the car was really cobbled together. It sold for 12k. I feel sorry for the buyer.

Chris,I'm with you.I believe the guy is having someone bid it up for him.Look at his bidding history and what he mostly bids on.     Tom

Probably a coincidence that 'patandmattsmom' has 516 feedbacks and the top bidder also has 516 feedbacks

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well??????????????????????????????????????????? Buyer be warned.  If you look at the feedback for patandmattsmom, there is not any feedback for this seller.  Hmmm?  My all time fav quote is "IF IT IS PREDICTABLE, THEN IT IS PREVENTABLE"
