My youngest son goes to college in Colorado Springs. Was +1 degrees there this morning, -20 degrees with windchill. And about a foot of snow on the ground. He's not used to that, coming from Southern California!!

Out here, all we've got is smoke.  :-(

Dear Jon, Dan, Mark, Chuck, campfamily, marxjunk, and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

. . . .

Out here, all we've got is smoke.  :-(

Yes indeed, California isn't exactly looking like winter just yet.  My trusty wagon finally got another grocery run after being grounded for 10 days.  On the way back, I stopped by this area that our local electric utility is feverishly continuing to "fire-proof" and took this photo:

I suppose the good news is that we can continue to drive our classic Buicks around here.  The bad news is that until we get some substantial rains, the wildfire season will continue.

Such is life in California these days . . . . .

Cheers, Edouard

We are putting the cars away this weekend although we will still be able to access the 57 Dodge if it gets nice out.

Here in NYC the weather is still nice, low 60's during the day going down to the upper 40's low 50's during the night. we are having a Buick Friendship this Sunday and the last local show/get together is on November 15th after that it's day by day until Christmas OR when the city starts salting the streets then it's hibernation till the spring rains wash away the salt...

Woke up to more snow here in Green Bay. After 3-1/2 inches Monday night this will end up being our second snowiest October ever. Poor Trick or Treaters. High is gonna be 38, plus windy.

How much snow did you get in Beloit Jon ?

Forgot to offer my sympathy! (Re: Winter it's here!)

Hi Gang,

Yesterday I was so busy and determined to get my wagon out that I forgot my main reason to reply to this thread!  I definitely send sympathies to those who have had to hibernate their car(s) already.  This year's classic car driving season is definitely almost gone.  We are headed into the a traditionally busy time of year, but even so, we should try to bring to the forum any bits of classic car news and information that will make up in a small part for not being able to drive our classics.  The Internet is hardly perfect but it does help scratch the classic car itch at least a little.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Happy Halloween! Started out with our second batch of snow the other day, then this today at about 0500hrs. Its finally over with about 6" next to the lake with snow that weighs about 50lbs per shovel. It'll probably melt in a day or two, but YIKES! Mother Nature is gonna use us as the sacrificial lamb this year!  Got the boat all wrapped up but didnt have time to shrink the plastic. Now it has to dry 100% and no wind otherwise the water drops make it look like it has the measles.

Cant wait to start hacking away on the BADLASS!    Bill

woke up this morning to snow cover...as the day warmed, i saw something ive never seen before...the trees where dropping their leaves as hard and as fast as it could possible be

by the time i got back to the house, my 3 large walnut trees where bare, and all down my street the road was coverd with leaves..so weird, i guess 26 degrees was a factor..everything around me was pretty much still green..now bare...weird
