Just for grins
« on: September 28, 2019, 07:06:02 PM »
Was refered to a GIANT 50s, 60s, and 70's boneyard in Concord, Wi. about 5 miles southeast of Watertown Wi. The owner is not too tech savvy so a phone call is the best...  Just google Jacks Auto Ranch and check out a pic of the operation. Website is null but phone works well!  Bill

Been there done that! Make sure you talk to Doug if possible! He is a old school Buick guy! Found some pieces there over the years!

Spoken with him a few times and he's even got a sense of humor! Ive called and asked "Is Doug Around?" and his reply was "Yeah. Im Doug Around..."  He gave me his gal-pals number to email pics to as he "doesnt do emails". I can almost relate to that. He said he'd much rather do face time with a customer.

On a side note, he mentioned another local old timer/Buick parts guy that retired a few years ago and moved to Arizona (?). Doug bought "several" dumpsters full of Buick stuff (mostly 60's) from this guy. Do ya think his prices are within limits? I am thinking about replacing the entire passenger side CORNER on the back instead of patching in pieces. Maybe a repair like 2x2 feet. After this is in, its off to a new trunk floor and paint!   Bill

Dear Bill, Jon, and mid-60 Buick parts hounds,

Just google Jacks Auto Ranch and check out a pic of the operation. Website is null but phone works well!  Bill

Thanks for sharing.  Certainly interesting to be aware of such an establishment.  Using your Google link, if you click on the satellite photo of the site it gives you some idea of how much detail cane be cleaned from space.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Yeah... that link was supposed to be the satellite link; looks like mr. google knows best again. It went to the map as a default. Hopefully all that rusty sheet metal isnt gold flashed!    Bill
