Turn Signal issues

Background:

Just installed a new Ron Francis 24/7 wiring harness. Replaced the front turn signal sockets with new sockets (not just the spring and pins), extra ground from the socket to the grounding backbone, Super-Brite LED 1157 amber bulbs, new headlight switch, rear tail lights are Digi-Tails full panel replacement LED lights.

What works: Headlights work fine; front marker lights work fine; rear tail lights work fine; rear brake lights work fine

What doesn't work: turn signals... If I engage a turn signal, both the front and rear lights on that side light up but do not blink. Both the left and right side does this.

What I've tried: three different LED rated flashers, swapping the flasher fuse and relay, no changes

What I need: Any hints on where to start troubleshooting next?

this is a shot in the dark...remove the ground from one of the front sockets and see if that does anything to that side.

^^ What he said. You do realize that LED's being diodes, only allow current to flow in one direction. Most likely, hyper sensitive to a good ground as well. Use an ANALOG Multimeter and check for voltage on both legs, and an OHM meter check on the ground(s). There was a discussion somewhere about the same malady that you are experiencing, and IIRC, it had to do with a grounding type of flasher. Another issue is making them sequential. Id like to do the same with the '64 special, so keep us informed. Bill

Turns out I needed to swap the polarity of the flasher.  Just used jumper wires for now, but have disk type polarity changer that will make for a clean installation on its way from Amazon

Fixed...  The original tail lights had issues with the sequencer, so Digi-Tails sent me a full new set and once I got the flasher polarity right, everything works

That is why I had to take the LED taillights out of my 57 Dodge to get the cruise control to work. Your lights turned out great!

A brighter idea, very cool!  Thanks for hanging in there to work the bugs out of a prototype for the rest of our group.

I had a set built for my Special by a different source, I never thought mine were bright enough during daytime use, yours look much brighter.
