Trim paint

Hi guys,

I am trying to figure out which color SEM trim paint best matches the red interior of my '65 Gran Sport. It's for the interior rear window trim.

Does anyone know?

Ok, no replies then. Guess that means it's a mystery to be solved. I am going to try "Firethorn Red" SEM trim paint and will report back here on whether it matches or not.

I have found SEM to have limited colors, except for brown. Years a go I bought from Thepartsplace, some trim paint for my red 65 GS, both were good matches, one for the metal and one for the plastic trim. I may still have the cans and can post what I had. Thanks Bill.

That is what I used on my dashpad for my red interior/

The firethorn is probably as close as you will come. There is three shades of red in the interior depending on the parts. Be sure to clean everything well and use an adhesion promoter.

I just painted the parts today; SEM Firethorn red is pretty close. It's a little less red than the original parts but it's close enough. One thing I found out after looking closely at all the trim is there are a bunch of different reds in there. The kick panels are slightly different than the window trim, etc.
