I pulled the side trim off and that is what I figured. Three spaced on each side, one close to the corner to help keep it tight, and the screw to hold it near the front.
And I'll use about eight along the back.
Since I have the trim off, I am going to run them through the buffing wheel.
I already did almost all the other trim on the car when I had it all off, except these pieces.
And while I had the side piices, I figured out how the clips go on.
The "fingers" go to the "outside" edge of the trim, and the "teeth" grab the underside of the pinch weld on the car and the trim is "pushed" in place.
I do appreciate everyone's help. I lost one boot (brand new) and the trim came loose a few times when running down the highway, so I figured I needed to do something to make it right.
Hate zipping down the road worrying about being a "Buick Parts Distributor".
