The quality of the cars at this event was outstanding! And they run good!

This year the event is September 18 and 19. We will be there the 18th for sure. Anyone else going? It?s in Stanton, MI.

Anyone else attending this event this Friday or Saturday? We will be there Friday. Stanton is not that far from Standish!

I was reading the rules and they are fairly specific as to what is acceptable. I may have to come over just to watch the fairness and honesty of what a stock car can do.....I?m laughing of course at the notion that everybody plays by the rules. I have seen some of the past results and I must say there are some very good machinists out there. It looks like you can be disqualified for gasket matching ports and using non oem exhaust manifolds. I was surprised that there were no L79 Novas on the quicker times,but some of heavier cars ran very well. Are you taking a Buick?

No, we?re just spectating too. We will be on a family vacation heading to the UP from there. There were some 65 Gran Sports spectating and racing last time we were there. Hope you can make it!

Jim,
   Did not get out of here early enough today and had company til noon. Hopefully you got a few Buick pics out there at the track. It would be a little more fun to put together a stocker for this event,but my Buick is probably not the candidate for the job. Some of those cars are running very good times on stock tires so I think it would take a serious effort to be consistent. Anybody else on here running in the competition?

Rhett was running his 65 GS again. Manu other Buick?s were running. This is a great, laid back event. Here is Rhetts small badge car.
