So grammas car is slowly going together, and at the same time, a few interesting things are coming off. Im gonna keep this thred open if thats OK with Loren and ad or subtract stuff "ad modum". All the stuff is "as removed" maybe a bit rusty or tarnished, but an original 33,000 mile car nevertheless.
We are both pretty busy this week; today I had lab work and an upper G.I with a knock out for the pipe and had a few stomach biopsies taken. Nothing out of the ordinary. More preventative like colon polyps. The rest of the week is devoted to Pat getting her cataracts done and a glaucoma stent put in to relieve pressure. Stay with me guys... Bill
Last week was the floor shifter install. I pulled the 3 speed column shifter stalk out as it was always in my way. The chrome is almost perfect with a baby blue shifter knob thats just as perfect. I'm guessing this will interchange with an auto column stalk. The shifter bowl can be traded for a floor shifter bowl, otherwise it gets the trim in the lathe.
Some original V6 parts. A factory 1 barrel carb, still has the ID tin tag on it and an OEM (date coded??) fuel pump. OEM 42 amp alternator. OEM starter motor (I need a 455 core so thats about 30.00 but will trade for a good BBB starter). Engine pedestals and motor mounts. V6 dipstick. V6 clutch disc (9-1/2"?), pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Column shifter cross shaft to trans linkage.
Also have an OEM aluminum alternator bracket thats identical to the 1970 455 unit I am gonna use. A lot of this stuff matches the 300CI V8 stuff. OEM V6 front springs. 1964 Brake line T connection.
I hate pricing this stuff and would much rather entertain trading parts. May need a good heater core. i think mine leaks but havenet tested it yet.. Also have 4 14" steel wheels with 3 base model steel hubcaps. Bill
