Guys..I can add to this.  I've considered buying this car twice, once 20+ years ago, and again maybe 9-10 years ago.   this car is minutes from me and George N lives very close as well!
Mark is an avid car guy, bodywork paint, etc, he has parts bagged. neatly wrapped up trim,  wrapped up console... AND YET, he cannot locate the VIN tag. He's told me the same thing many times,"TAG REMOVED AND PUT SOMEWHERE..cant find it."  For someone who is fairly organized, hard to understand WHY he cannot find a VIN TAG..

NOT only that, I have pix from way back (somewhere) the car sported small block (300) frame pads plus, if I recall correctly, there were stainless trim holes all down the sides of quarters and doors.. ie: Skylark.  The glovebox door has Gran Sport emblem but the trunk is punched for a Skylark emblem..  A lot of weird stuff but he will argue, it is indeed a GS.
ONE would have to do a lot more research to know if INDEED it is a GS.   Just say'n.
