Well! After the hood, front fenders and core support came off today, I got the valve covers, complete rocker shafts, air cleaner, front timing cover, distributor (with OEM Packard wires I mite ad!) off with almost a whole can of PB Blaster.

All this stuff is AS REMOVED. If I wash it all, the flag goes down on the meter.

I can now give an accurate description of everything, but alas, I lost my GD camera yesterday. Im gonna try with the old one and hopefully the super whamadyne desktop will "Recognize it".

This motor sat since 1980. The whole interior of the unit is BONE DRY. Dry to the point that the parts have surface rust ON THE INSIDE.

The valve covers have surface rust in and out. I swiped a wire tooth brush and they came clean. The same for the air cleaner and top with a new 1980 element.  Both include appropriate OEM grommets.

The distributor has original wires on it and the advance weights are free. It spins perfect.

The front cover has the water pump attached and the oil pump spins smooth. Its an OEM water pump, its stiff, and all painted the puke Buick green. Dirty but looks like new. The mounting bolts were like new when they came out.

I saved the rocker shafts complete but can dis-assemble and ship with the pedestals if thats what you want.

Ill include the wing nut and stud with the air cleaner.

I got ALL this stuff apart with hand tools. NO AIR, and, including the exhaust manifolds, didnt break a single bolt! The engine is 90% unbolted and will probably come out tomorrow with the crash box LOL.

Now, my terms are each order is a million dollars US :overthetop:, or best reasonable offer, Plus actual shipping. I dont charge for an hours worth of boxing and 1/2 hour trip to the post office

PM me with actual mailing addresses and they will go out, include your emails for a prompt invoice. I work on the honor system. Ill take paypal as a family gift (way lesser fees I hope) but if theres more, YOU accept that on your end.

Ill try to get some pics tonight, but no guarantees. Now for the $$$ talk? I sell stuff at the swap meet level. The descriptions are accurate!       ws

I don't need them but you may want to keep them and list them for sale. If my memory recalls correctly......... v6 pads and frame mounts are specific for a v6 cars. Every once in a while I get a request for some.

Dear Bill, Brian, and 65GS.com citizens,

Thanks Bill for taking the extra time to document what you have and giving us a moment to see if we could use this stuff.   Your time is worth something and you could have just sent the big pieces to the dump and saved some effort.

Thanks Brian for having been collecting this parts for a long time!  :icon_thumright:  You have personally saved a number of mid-60s cars by having that "impossible to find" part!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

I was figgerin' on keeping the mount stuff just for that. Ive had to re-engineer stuff before and "wished" I had one of those so and so's! The starter and the flexplate as well. How about an OEM(dated??) coil?

Went out on a 455 referral call. This guy has about 20 BBB's from 400, 430 and 455, 1968 to 1976 ish. I picked out a complete 1970  455,
and the guy is gonna pull it outa the barn with his skid steer this week. Ill swing by and get it, take what I need and return the leftovers for 200.00 what a deal! Thats heads, crank, intake and cam and maybe pistons from a 1970. I am just hoping the crank is good. Slowly but surely!

These were from yesterday. Mr. Mouse had a cozy apartment set up... Check out the factory assembly marks on the cowl. Maybe theres a build sheet hiding under the tank???      ws

Damper should be good to go as well. You should take the flywheel with it for a Daily Double! A million $$$ or best offer plus the truck!  Feel free to PM me about the transaction with a shipping address etc...   Bill

THIS IS A SHIPPING UPDATE!! This morning, Pat my Significant Other experienced multiple symptoms resembling those of a stroke. Due to insurance change-overs at the first of the year, and a change in other meds, she was overcome with the stroke-like reactions resulting with the entire day spent at the emergency walk-in and then to the ER at the hospital. Tons of lab and CT scans proved she was somewhat OK, but they did recommend checking in with a neurologist. After a 3 hour I-V cocktail of the good stuff, she was release to go home and bed rest the remainder of today.

This put the Kabosch on shipping today, and try as I may, I will promise to attend to it in the morning.

Thanks for understanding guys!  Bill in TR

Bill,
As Milton said, family first! I am in no hurry for a part that’s probably going to rest on an engine stand as garage art.
Take care of Pat, in fact spoil her. I can wait.
