“GS” tailshaft questions
« on: December 26, 2018, 07:02:23 PM »
The “GS” manual trans tailshaft - besides “GS” what other casting numbers/letters should the tailshaft have?

Is this a cast iron or aluminum piece?

Did any other cars besides 65/66 Gran Sports have “GS” cast in the tail shaft?

Thanks!
Dan

It's aluminum tailshaft.

GS is on the shift gate pad between the bolt holes, drivers's side.
The date code is on the passenger side. MM-DD-YY raised numbers on a cast rectangle pad. (mine was 12-21-64)
on the top is ;

 T10K-7
WG DIV

That is what was on mine.

Hope that helps
Michael
