Heater control bezel difference
« on: November 04, 2018, 03:22:20 PM »
I have a pet peeve when people lust stuff as 64-65 skylark..... Some parts are just 1964 and some are 1965. They really don't know what they are selling...

One of the common and notorious parts are the heater bezels.....

They are not the same for the 2 years. The 1964 has a flat side . The other is a 1965 version.

Dear Brian and 65GS.com parts hounds,

Thanks for sharing.  I didn't know the difference myself.  Unfortunately there two kinds of people selling used auto parts: 1.) those who really care about the cars  and 2.) those who only really care about the money.  I certainly appreciate that you are in the first category!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

  I couldn't agree more.
And it's not just '64-'65.  There was a clock listed on another forum that stated it fit '64-'67. Not so, '64/'65 are the same. But '66/'67 has an angle cut to the face along with a different knob attachment. Just an example , there are many more things.
