Hello everyone! What's the best choice for a dual master cylinder? Keeping the stock drums just stepping up the safety factor with a dual system. Thanks :help:

Dear oldblueoval and 65GS.com fans of safe braking,

Hello everyone! What's the best choice for a dual master cylinder? Keeping the stock drums just stepping up the safety factor with a dual system. Thanks :help:

I have no idea because there are so many choices.  My wagon has a master cylinder from SSBC:

https://ssbrakes.com/

She got it as part of her upgrade to front disc brakes.  She will get a rear brake upgrade next week, so that may change.  There are a number of aftermarket vendors and it is a competitive field.  Perhaps the rest of the board can offer some other suggestions.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Do you want a whole conversion kit with the lines and distribution block? Power brakes? And do you really want the 'best' (expensive race quality), or just a decent stock replacement?

You can buy a kit from many sources.... eBay, restoration suppliers like Summit, Jegs, Year One, OPG, Ground Up, etc. Or from a brake specialist like Inline Tube, fine Lines, or The Right Stuff.
