Spreading the Word
« on: August 23, 2018, 09:55:15 PM »
It was so hot in NYC this summer that i tried to stay out of the sun and do some side projects in my garage, it was in the 80s in the garage with the fan blowing and close to 100 plus high humidity in the sun. I had this idea of putting the Registry info on the back of my chair that i keep in the trunk of the GS. It would be good advertisement for us. I removed the back part of the chair, nailed it flat on to a board and went out to my local craft store and purchased the 4 colors of T-Shirt paint & Stencils 1) Painted the background blue. 2) Used some stencils to outline the letters. 3) Then used  several size brushes to paint in the letters. 4) Then i painted the flag onto it for some extra color. It took about a week to complete since several coats were needed and each coat dried for 24 hours. But it came out real cool ...  The chair cost $20 at Harbor Freight and the paint & Stencils was another $18.

Nice job Tony !  I may have to steal that idea.  :icon_biggrin:   I'll ask Roxy what it would take to make an iron of it.

Dear Tony, Jim, Chuck, Loren, and 65GS.com faithful,

I had this idea of putting the Registry info on the back of my chair that i keep in the trunk of the GS. It would be good advertisement for us.

. . . . .

Definitely a very interesting idear!

I may have to steal that idea.  :icon_biggrin:   I'll ask Roxy what it would take to make an iron of it.

If there was some way to make an iron-on transfer that certainly looks like a very easy way to copy Tony and I don't think he would mind a bit!  :laughing7:

Thanks Tony!  :icon_thumright:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Tony

Congratulations on a great idea.

I bet that side table on the right side of your chair comes in handy holding your arm holding your cold one..

Loren

I'm in for a iron on if  Roxy is able.

Hi Everyone, If you want to make copies of the back of my chair sure go ahead ! I wanted to let people know that we are here and part of the BCA . If my idea works then so be it and take the chair to all the shows and events and "Spread the word" :director:

And yes Milton that table does come in handy holding a "cold one" only when a days restoration work is done.... :occasion14:
