1966 Skylark Gran Sport Hardtop for sale
« on: June 19, 2018, 06:41:08 AM »
I am listing my 66 GS HT for sale. Too many projects, not enough time or funds to keep up so many Buicks. The car is also listed on ebay right now, item number 392067583207 so you can check out that auction for pictures and details. Asking price is $9500.00, may have a little room for the right Buick guy. Car is located in southeastern Ohio, zip 45654  Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
Thanks, Mike

Sorry to hear that this one needs a new home.  We could always use more '66 GS's as well as Specials and Skylarks.

Hope you find a good home for it.

I have relisted the 66 on ebay, item number 392074527510 with a lower reserve of $7995.00  If interested I would welcome you to come and look it over and take a test drive. It really is a decent old car that needs some love.

Suggest deleting your current ad and relisting it in eBay Motors>Cars& Trucks>Buick>Other. Your ad is currently in Collectibles>Advertising and will get very few views there.

OK folks, I've had some close offers so I relisted on ebay with a reserve of 6995.00. Item number 392087733090.  I would like to sell this car to help fund my 65 GS project and I feel at this price it is a real bargain. Check out the listing and give me some feedback on what you think of the car even if you are not interested in a purchase.

Thanks, Mike

The car is still for sale. I have had a lot of interest but every one must think I am either stupid or starving. I have had more than my share of low ballers, tire kickers, BS talkers, and every other kind of scammer and trade offers you could think of. I have dropped the price to as low as I can and still no takers. Winter is coming and I would like to see it sold before I have to put it back in storage.

Mike, I understand what you are saying, trying to sell my 68 GS California and have the same bunch of people looking at or calling about the car. Saturday I had a guy spend two hours looking at the car from the top to the bottom, inside and out and then walking away because it has bench seats.  Good luck with your sale.

You should see some of the responses I have been getting selling late models lately Glenn.....lol. I am not sure what is going on with some of these people. The 66 can still be viewed through the link posted by Loren if you click "see original listing". Ebay likes to reroute to similar ads,but the original ad and pics look OK to me. I had to save myself some time the last few I sold and screen potential "buyers" from people who really live in their own world as far as cars. These cars we are working on are not for everyone and some people need to hear that because often they could use some education on the subject. Used,restored,survivor,etc.....all have specific meaning and some try to create their own definitions. This 66 is fairly priced and the description and pics match the car.....period. ANY car sells itself if the buyer wants the car at the price listed and if not.....they only waste your time if you let them. I say relist it and just tell them any other questions can be answered when they show up to look at it. That usually weeds 80% of the so-called "buyers" from raising your blood pressure. I know myself and a lot of others in the old car world don't mind driving to see a car we are interested in.

The hard part is actually getting someone to actually come out and look at the vehicle. The current state is just car flippers trying to make a buck.  I really don't think most people buy to keep them until its the last flipper that just paid too much for it.

I get the " what's your best price" " how low will you go"  etc.
I try to ignore them.... The person that's wants to buy it will just ask "when can I come out?" The rest are nonsense people sitting on their couch trying to figure out how to turn the $2 into a million. Been through it many times myself. Everyone can blame the internet ....
