Moraga car show 2018
« on: May 14, 2018, 11:13:44 AM »
Dear mid-60s Buick owners who can't get enough classic car pics, . . . . .

A neighboring town has a small car show as part of a community fair.  In the past there was one Buick Rivera that was a regular, but this year not a single Buick in the show.   :crybaby2:

Still there were some nice examples of other GM vehicles of the 1960s.  Here is a 1969 Chevelle SS 396:

Alas, it had a modern Chevy engine instead of the original.  There was a venerable 1964 Corvair Spyder Coupe:

Here is the back:

Here is a 1957 Pontiac Custom Safari 2-door wagon:

Here is the order side:

Alas it had a modern engine:

Here is a 1965 GTO:

Here is a 1955 Chevy Pickup:

Here is the back:

Here is a very well done pickup truck bed:

Finally here is the original engine:

Here is another 1969 Chevelle SS 396:

However, this one not only has the original engine, but the engine bay is beautiful:

Here is the front view of the engine bay:

Finally here is the passenger side view of the engine:

For spice here is a 1958 Nash Metropolitan:

In a similar vein as the Chevelle, there is a 1963 Impala SS with a very well done original engine bay:

Here is the passenger side of the car:

Here is one side of the engine bay:

The front of the engine bay:

Finally, I can provide a little more information about the Ford hot-rod that I photographed on "da' classic car pick-me-up:"

As you can see the hood was open and the contents was quite "assertive!"

Here is the other side:

Since I use SmugMug to manage my online photos there is an online photo album with additional pictures:

There is also a full-screen slide show for those of you with a computer and a nice monitor:

On the other hand, if you use a mobile device, there is also this link which is supposed to provide more pleasant viewing on those smaller screens:

Enjoy!  :sunny:

Dear Jim and mid-60s Buick owners of like beautiful classic cars,

Some nice stuff, thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately, I'm so busy that I probably won't catch another classic car show until September.  However, the good weather is finally here and it is classic car season.  So the next time you are at a car show, don't forget your camera or smart phone and please share what you see with the rest of us!  :icon_thumright:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
