Gran Sport front plate
« on: March 04, 2018, 06:37:38 PM »
Living  in a state that allows us to run our classic cars without a front plate, I have not been able to find a Gran Sport plate. I visited a local shop that produces outstanding art work. We were able to replicate the front grill badge on our 65 Gran Sports. If there is an interest from the group I will proceed with the project. Cost will be $30.00 per plate, with all moneys, after expenses, going to support the the site.

Count me in for one. I’ll just hang it on the shop wall until the bumpers are installed.

So, do we need a minimum number to get this rolling?  I could see the need for two. Here in Nebraska, when using a historical plate, we can run a rear plate only.  That leaves a lot of uninterrupted chrome up front with no plate on the front .

Dear Glenn, Kevin, Loren, and mid-60s Buick owners who like to remind people what a GS is all about!

Living  in a state that allows us to run our classic cars without a front plate, I have not been able to find a Gran Sport plate. I visited a local shop that produces outstanding art work. We were able to replicate the front grill badge on our 65 Gran Sports.

Thanks for doing this Glenn!  It certainly looks worthwhile.  Alas my wagon isn't a GS and California insists on a front plate, so I'll have to pass on this one.

Cheers, Edouard

No minimum needed. Now that we have the logo in the computer we can print as needed.
