Just talked with Repops and they expect to have the liner ready by the end of this week.  I expect to hear confirmation early next week and will announce it here soon!

Update:  Received the first sample yesterday.  They look nice; I don't have the original to compare it with, but it looks good.  The only problem is that Repops forgot to install the metal fasteners in the holes, so there's nothing to fasten the screws to.  I called them and, with obvious embarrassment, they are making another and will send it very soon.  When I receive it, I'll install it in my restoration and give them feedback.  At that time I'll update a process for purchasing them.

Note, the one thing they claim they can't duplicate is the piping on the interior shelf.

Meanwhile, teaser pictures attached, comparing the A/C and non-A/C liners.

Dear Chuck and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Update:  Received the first sample yesterday.  They look nice; I don't have the original to compare it with, but it looks good.

Yes indeed these guys have done a great job reproducing this glove box liner.  Kudos to them and thanks for taking the lead to make this happen!  :icon_thumright:

Cheers, Edouard

The liner for the A/C Skylark arrived this week and had the fastening clips installed.  I've attached a couple of pictures of the A/C and non-A/C liners for comparison.  Today I did the install and it fits like a glove (pun intended  :laughing7:),  The install went very easily, partly because this liner, unlike the non-A/C liner, has fold lines on the sides, so it was easy to bend the sides and compress the liner into the opening and work it into place.  All the screw holes and clips lined up perfectly.  We're in business!

Early next week I'll call Repops and see what kind of deal I can work out for a wholesale buy.  I'll also take a count of those that have expressed interest to get a better idea of initial quantity to buy.

Dear Chuck and mid-60s Buick owners who like to be cool - literally!  :glasses9:

The liner for the A/C Skylark arrived this week and had the fastening clips installed.  I've attached a couple of pictures of the A/C and non-A/C liners for comparison.  Today I did the install and it fits like a glove (pun intended  :laughing7:),  The install went very easily, partly because this liner, unlike the non-A/C liner, has fold lines on the sides, so it was easy to bend the sides and compress the liner into the opening and work it into place.  All the screw holes and clips lined up perfectly.  We're in business!

Looks great!  :icon_thumright:  Thanks for taking on this project!

This is one of those small but really annoying details that now resolved will make all the factory A/C Buick A-bodies that much nicer to drive and look at!  :sunny:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

It's a small and easy(ish) project. If you folks have old glove boxes that looked and functioned like mine, it is well worth the investment.

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the delay in setting this up.  We've been away all summer dealing with family medical issues.  When I return after Thanksgiving, I'll get going on this.

Again, sorry for the delay.
