I may be wrong, but I think even 65 cars use two different supports. Some 64-5 cars are the same with a horizontal flow, and only gs and 335/300 use the cross flow radiator and support.

I know you meant to say downflow for the 64-early 65.
Buick supposedly changed to crossflow radiators for all A-bodies sometime during 1965.

OK..that makes sense because I know my 65 300 2bbl was a downflow, but my 300 4bbl was a crossflow like GS. So maybe all 300 engines were crossflow after a certain date?

I think there was a change with production date.

My brother's '65 Skylark and my father-in-law's '65 Skylark were both the 2 bbl engines and they had cross flow radiators.  I have seen many '65 Skylarks with down flow radiators also.  I have never looked at the production date on cowl tags though.

So, my point is that 2 bbl vs 4 bbl isn't a decider.

Thanks again Loren!  :glasses9:

Plate and guard arrived and I was able to blast them this afternoon and will prime, paint and put things together this weekend.

Coming up on one year.

About ready to kick this pig!

The first 60 years were spent on surviving. The second 60 are gonna be spent on fun!
