Selling my 65 post GS
« on: September 13, 2017, 10:32:41 PM »
I have my convertible running and driving and I am going to sell my post car in order to finish the ragtop. I have listed it for $12,500 on  carsonline.com . I also listed my number and contact info and can be reached here also. I am having trouble loading pics, but I have several on the listing. The post car is in above average condition and can be driven anywhere.

Thanks for posting the link Dan,I had a very slow internet connection and gave up on it. I drove the car a little this year, but it won't make it to Chucks this year. I have some other plans scheduled and I was hoping to drop by there on my way to Florida. I am convinced through the previous owner and my own experience that the miles are legit and the car could be very nice if someone wants to go that route. I would say my biggest concern would be some bubbling under the top.The lower body is probably as good as it gets.

Thanks to Loren you can see a few of the better pics. I drove the car last year to Kevins(rollaround) and had no problems. The chrome is very clean as far as rust, but the tail lights are typical and I do have an extra set that are not pitted. This was just too easy to get in and drive and I knew better than to take it apart unless it was my only project.( I have a few that I am juggling). I can leave it sitting in the garage for several months and it always fires right up with no problem. I would like to see it restored, but I just have too many irons in the fire.

I see it's listed as today's "Deal of the Day", that might help!

The car was sold locally (very locally) and I think it will be well preserved.

Congratulations Dan on the sale. Now on to other projects. Does "very  locally" mean that you still may be working on the car, but for a new owner?

Thanks guys,
I sold it to an "original" connoisseur that was interested in keeping it that way. He only lived about 30 minutes from me and I never met him before. I told him about the site and some of the restoration parts available. Hopefully we have not seen the last of #114.  Dan
