Engine Removal
« on: September 05, 2017, 04:52:12 PM »
I remember posting a question about how to best remove the engine from my restoration a year or more ago.  Now, here's one way, but I don't recommend it.   :nono:

Love the comment "that'll buff right out". I'm thinking the driver was lucky.

Dear Chuck, Dan, Bill, and mid-60s Buick engine removal specialists, . . . . .  :laughing7:

I remember posting a question about how to best remove the engine from my restoration a year or more ago.  Now, here's one way, but I don't recommend it.   :nono:

There is a saying about flying: "Any landing that you can walk away from is a good one!"  Ya' think that applies to engine removals? . . .  :laughing7:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Good thing that truck wasn't a matching numbers deal.

Usually big truck engines get rebuilt "in frame". That one will go against the grain.  :icon_biggrin: Looks like the pistons self ejected too.

Pretty certain that engine wasn't factory stock.   :headbang:
