With summer rapidly coming to an end, I finally made it to the Wednesday Night Cruise-in at the Gilmore Auto Museum in Hickory Corners, MI. I was a beautiful day for a 45 minute drive and a beautiful venue to take a couple of pictures of the red convertible. The barns aren't open on Cruise nights, so there was not much traffic to navigate in order to get some unobstructed pictures. They don't have a Buick barn, so forgive me for shooting in front of the Pierce-Arrow barn, where the light was pretty good.
It was fun to be among an eclectic mix of classics, customs and even somewhat interesting modern hot rods. I'll definitely be returning!
I've also included a couple shots of my friend Dick's little hot rod '63 Tempest that he built with a 421 tri-power engine and Muncie 4-speed. He painted my "Verde Howitzer" and obviously does nice work!
Note on the inner fender the autograph from Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick, famous for racing Pontiacs.
