Loren,

I was going to give a smart aleck answer, but assuming you mean as it relates to nailheads and GS's. It was used on some 66 Skylark GS cars as I understand, and Riviera.
I saw a 66 Riv with the Quadrajet carb and intake still on it at French Lake years ago, but the air cleaner was missing. Should have got it.

The Q-jet was first used on 1966 425's and a very few '66 Skylark GS's with the 340 hp 401 cid option....only136 of those. Guess where one of them is! :D

There's a $75 Q-jet intake in Wisconsin if someone needs one. that's a great buy!:

Ok... figured Walt would come through on this one.
Came up with a chrome aircleaner.Real nice piece,no damage, great chrome....... doesn't fit the AFB. :o
So do I alter the aircleaner , come up with the manifold and carb, or ....?. :-\

You can buy a cheapo plastic air cleaner adapter. ala Mr Gasket.

If anyone needs to go the other way and install a small-opening air cleaner on a larger carb, just make up a spacer ring from 1/8 alum, about 1/2" high. The air cleaner will sit nicely on the ring.

I'm leaning towards changing the intake and carb , Tom.
As far as using a spacer, the point where the carb and aircleaner meet is allready 3/4" different. Making it taller if on an AFB then the correct aircleaner.
So.... about that intake. Any contact info? ;D

You will not be disappointed with the Q-jet!  Best running stock nailhead setup in my opinion.

Pat,
Good to hear that from you.
I found the intake and have it .
Talked with Carmen, he can take care of the carb for me.
I do realize that this setup is not correct for a '65, but for now I can live with it. The aircleaner is really nice.
I have a like new '65 aircleaner for chrome plating in the future.
